INAI — Privacy Policy
INAI is a dating app for Tamil-speaking Christians. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it.
Who we are
INAI is operated by Ever Thine Ltd. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@inai-connect.com for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, and either a password we store only as a salted hash, or the account identifier returned by Google or Apple when you use those sign-in options.
Profile details you enter: name, date of birth, gender, region, occupation, denomination, church, answers about your faith and Tamil background, a short bio, interests, and the photos you upload.
Activity in the app: likes, passes, matches, messages, blocks, and reports.
Pastor reference, if you choose to give one: your pastor's name, email address, and church, plus their response. This is optional and you decide whether to submit it.
Subscription status: whether your INAI Plus subscription is active, received from Apple or Google through RevenueCat. We never see your card details.
Technical data: IP address, device and push notification tokens, and server logs used to run and secure the service.
Signing in with Google or Apple
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google Account, and we use them only to create or access your INAI account. We request no other Google data, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
If you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address, or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide it, and we use it the same way.
You can disconnect INAI at any time from your Google Account or Apple ID settings, and you can delete your INAI account in the app.
Why we use it
To run the service: creating your account, showing your profile to other members, producing matches, and delivering messages. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing our guidelines, and preventing fraud and abuse. This is our legitimate interest in a safe service.
To contact you: sign-in codes, password resets, and service notices. Pastor reference emails are sent only with your consent.
To process subscriptions and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Other members see the profile details and photos you publish, and the messages you send them.
We use service providers who process data on our instructions: Neon for database hosting, Google Cloud for application hosting, Resend for transactional email, and RevenueCat with Apple and Google for subscriptions.
We may disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile while your account exists. Deactivating hides your profile but keeps your data so you can return.
When you delete your account we remove your profile from the service and delete or anonymise your data, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or safety reasons.
Pastor contact details are purged within 45 days of the reference being reviewed.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can request access to your data, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
Email hello@inai-connect.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and international transfers
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored as salted hashes, and access to production data is limited to people who need it.
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer relies on UK approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum.
Children
INAI is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We delete accounts we believe belong to minors.
Changes to this policy
